Application: Counseling Approaches with Children, Adolescents, and Adults
Counseling approaches used with children and adolescents are different from counseling approaches used with adults. Usually adults can engage in an open dialogue about the issues that bring them into counseling. Children and adolescents, however, are less likely to speak openly about their issues, and counselors must consider using more creative counseling approaches.
