Behavioral economics “incorporates economic, cognitive, and social psychology disciplines to determine how individuals and institutions make economic decisions” (Nash, Fabius, Skoufalos, Clarke, & Horowitz, 2016, p. 32).
A few examples of behavioral modification programs that you may come across today to solve a health issues are: Employee wellness programs, Medication adherence programs, substance abuse programs, self-maintenance programs for chronic illnesses such as diabetes or congestive heart failure, etc.
