Instructions to Students: CW1 Instructions to Students: Due to an increase in lifestyle related illness, health professionals frequently recommend an increase in physical activity, accompanied by dietary changes, to improve the health status of patients. In order to be able to recommend suitable lifestyle changes, practitioners need the skills to accurately assess the activity level of their patients. You are then required to select an appropriate, validated exercise log questionnaire in order to measure your client’s physical activity over one week (7 days), in addition you are required to select a 3 day Food diary from which you can review your clients eating habits. Both your Activity and Food Diaries MUST be approved by your tutor before you can pass them onto your client for completion. This will be covered during the seminar sessions. Marks will be deducted for using non-approved diaries. As a result of your findings you are required to evaluate your findings, and based on research evidence, make future lifestyle recommendations. In summary, you are required to: Provide your client with a ‘pack’ for completion by your client consisting of a physical Activity diary/log and a 3-day food diary together with clear instructions as to how it is to be completed. Collect the completed diaries…
