EXPLORE FEDERAL AGENCIES THAT ARE CONCERNED WITH WOMENS HEALTH.

Vulnerability may arise from individual, community, or larger population challenges and requires different types of policy interventions—from social and economic development of neighborhoods and communities, and educational and income policies, to individual medical interventions. Values affect how society views the vulnerable—as victims or sinners—and thus whether or not to provide public assistance. There are programs available to help vulnerable populations gain access to opportunities that support their full participation in society. Each provides a dedicated source of financial and technical assistance for projects and activities in their respective programming areas.Explore federal agencies that are concerned with Women’s Health. Which ones may be of benefit to vulnerable populations? Explore nonprofit agencies that are concerned with Women’s Health. Share resources aimed to benefit women in your state or area.

IDENTIFY A GLOBAL ISSUE – ANYTHING FROM SAY WAR AND PEACE, DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH OR PANDEMIC, ENVIRONMENTAL, ECONOMIC, WHATEVER – AND EXPLAIN SOME OF THE CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN ADDRESSING THE ISSUE.

Writing assignment is to answer any two of the three questions below, in about 500-800 words for each essay, or approximately 2-4 pages each (1.5 or double-spaced), a chance to sum up some of the key lessons learned in the course. It’s more of an “essay”, so no need to worry about formatting or numbers of references, but the essay should demonstrate knowledge gained from the course readings and discussions. Be sure to identify the essay number at the beginning of your essay.
(1) Consider the two books we read for the class, by Kissinger and Zakaria, and identify two or three main “takeaways” from each book. What did you learn about the nature and evolution of the international system? How does the book help you better understand global issues?
(2) Identify a global issue – anything from say war and peace, development, health or pandemic, environmental, economic, whatever – and explain some of the challenges and opportunities in addressing the issue. What lessons can you draw from the course to help explain and understand the issue? Is it an issue that has a “solution” or is the best hope that we somehow “manage” it into a better state?
(3) It’s January 2019, and you’ve just been nominated as Secretary of State (equivalent to our foreign minister) in a new administration. Your first task is to assemble a team of experts as part of your new foreign policy team and to provide a brief report to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the top priorities for the administration, part of your confirmation process as the new top diplomat. You can’t do everything — and besides, Senators have little time to read since they spend most of fundraising — so you need to select two or three top priorities to focus American foreign policy toward. What are they? What are some of the challenges faced by the United States in the current international system, and what do you plan to do about it? Be very specific and offer some concrete proposals or identify particular countries or issues you believe need immediate attention.

This week there is a discussion question in which you can use “I”.  The discussion is a reflection how you have met the course objectives listed in the syllabus.

ANALYZE THE EVALUATION OF THE EFFICACY OF USING TELEHEALTH IN THE MENTAL DISORDERS.

The advancement in technology has led to the introduction of methods for enhancing the health care.  E-health has been used to enhance the health care and addressing the mental disorders issue through the use of online therapy. This discussion will analyze the evaluation of the efficacy of using telehealth in the mental disorders. It will also look at the integration of the evidence based practices in the telehealth sector. The professional issues that might be encountered and the benefits of the delivery methods will also be summarized in this discussion.
Telehealth has been an effective method of addressing the mild, moderate and the severe mental health disorders. This is because, through the use of evidence based online therapy, many disorders such as depression and anxiety have been addressed through the use of online platform website which contain information on standard diagnosis and treatment.  It also reduces the patients’ and the providers’ costs and increases the system coverage areas (Gros et. al, 2013). The evidence based treatment practices can be integrated into the telehealth trend through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and online therapy where the patients’ thoughts are changed through acts such as storytelling and helping them to live in independence.
From the interactive assignment, he population targeted are the youths aged between 18-35 years. Being a clinical psychologist, I will use telehealth to address the psychological disorders faced by the clients. It will be appropriate to use telehealth platforms such as telephone, texts and virtual clinics because the youth in the modern generation are well versed with the technological advancement. They will therefore fully corporate and follow activity schedules and lessons stated in the telehealth treatment plans.
Through the use of using e-health there are some legal, ethical and professional issues that can be encountered during the delivery of the services. The psychologists need to ensure that they meet the ethical and professional standards (Baker, 2011). Some of the ethical issues include informed consent whereby they need to obtain informed consent of the patient before delivering the treatment plan. There should also be confidentiality of the data and the information in tele-psychology. When it comes to the legal considerations, the psychologists should comply and be familiar with the relevant federal and state laws when delivering the services to the patients across the jurisdiction and international borders. The effective use of the technology in accordance to the ethics and law will be beneficial as it will minimize the risks (Harris, 2011).  E-therapy will also promote new and improved ways of delivering the healthcare services thus overcoming risks such as breach of patient privacy and wrong diagnosis.

EXPLAIN HOW YOU WOULD APPROACH A HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR THE CULTURAL GROUP YOU HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT FOR YOUR SLP.

See attachments located in the files that have been uploaded that will assist with this assignment.

**HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT**

For this final segment of the SLP, consider everything you have learned throughout the SLP and write a paper that addresses the following:

Explain how you would approach a health education program for the cultural group you have written about for your SLP. Support your choices with scholarly references. You should be able to use the information you found in researching your previous SLP papers.

Would your program be for the person, extended family, or neighborhood?
What positive perceptions, enablers, and nurturers would you want to reinforce? What negative ones would you want to try to overcome?
What positive aspects of cultural empowerment would you want to reinforce? What negative ones would you want to try to overcome? What existential ones would you acknowledge but not try to change?

What challenges do you foresee in trying to plan and implement health education programs for this cultural group?

Length: 3 pages (excluding the cover page and the reference list).
