For this assignment you must provide a critical evaluation on that research through an annotated bibliography. An annotated bibliography is a brief summary and analysis of the journal article reviewed. A total of four annotated bibliographies are to be submitted (not to exceed one page each). The articles must come from nursing scholarly literature and may not be older than 5 years since publication. Please note that the articles must be research based and reflect a quantitative methodology

• Explanation of the main purpose and scope of the cited work  The purpose of the research is typically identified in the first few paragraphs of the article
• Brief description of the research conducted This means to briefly described the research study, the sample, the type of research, the results of the study and outcomes and implications for nursing
• Value and significance of the work (e.g., study’s findings, scope of the research project) as a contribution to the subject under consideration How does this study contribute to what your potential research study
• Possible shortcomings or bias in the work These may be listed under limitations of the study or in the conclusion section
• Conclusions or observations reached by the author What are the conclusions of the study? These are listed at the end of the article
• Summary as to why this research lends evidence to support the potential problem identified specific to your role option. A few sentences as to why this may support the research problem as it applies to your role, N.P. Nurse Educator etc.

Being a reflective practitioner enables NPs to identify weaknesses and target professional development in order to address these weaknesses. In turn, this increases the NPs’ ability to provide the best care to patients and their families. Reflection also affords the NP time to consider communication and their efforts toward creating a culture of mutual support with colleagues, a characteristic that is essential to successful NP practice (Somerville & Keeling, 2004).

Each week you will complete a Journal Entry and Time Log that prompts you to reflect on your Practicum Experiences and how they relate to your Professional Goals and Self-Assessment of Clinical Skills. This week you will begin documenting your Practicum Experiences in your Practicum Journal.

At that time; the visits were due to colds, sore throats, influenza, bronchitis, and pneumonia, in order of frequency.Maria Perez, a 73-year-old Cuban American woman has been referred for community health nursing services following her discharge from the hospital. She smokes two packs of cigarettes per day. She was recently hospitalized as a result of a severe shortness of breath due to an asthma attack. Influencing Multiple Systems Through Evidence-Based Change

As an advance practice nurse, your work is informed by many factors beyond your direct reach, and your influence extends beyond the immediate context in which you labor. Likewise, the changes you propose as a nurse leader are influenced by multiple systems and, in turn, can have an impact on many different groups. One of the ways to distinguish yourself as a leader is to be knowledgeable about these spheres of influence and to promote awareness of the potential effects that may result from a change.

Indeed, with the fluid and persistently evolving nature of change, it is essential that you stay abreast of latest developments that may affect the practice environment. This is especially critical for maintaining or adapting a change once it has been implemented. As discussed in Weeks 8 and 9, you may need to make adjustments based on evaluation of outcomes; in addition, you must also be prepared for adjustments based on developments within or outside your targeted environment.

To prepare:

• What are some possible adjustments that you might      need to make based on the evaluation of outcomes? Consider insights from      the Discussion in Weeks 8 and 9.
• Consider the evidence-based change you are proposing      for your practicum setting: What other systems or components of a system      are within the sphere of influence of this change? How could evolving      issues internal to the setting, such as budget, staffing shortage,      regulations or external to it, such as supply, funding, national      priorities, and disasters, affect the implementation—and ultimately the sustainability—of      such a change?
• How might your proposed change, in turn, affect      policy or practice at other levels beyond your initial focus?
