The framework consists of three core functions: assessment, policy development, and assurance.Health Department (USDHHS) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) are the leading public health agencies (Nickitas et al., 2020). They determine the essential public health services, provide data and resources on public health and current trends and initiatives. In addition, one can use databases to access information such as vital statistics for assessment purposes.
