Assignment Meal Summary

Food Log/Diary.  Points Possible:        20 Total

This is an opportunity for you to learn more about how you eat.  Accuracy of your report will depend upon the accuracy of your data collection.  This assignment is part 1 of three assignments throughout the semester

Directions: In Chapter 2 you were told to track the quantities and amounts of all foods and beverages (include water) consumed throughout the day for three consecutive days. Be as specific as possible about the Amount, and Quantity as well as the description of the food itself. See example below. Micro & Macro Nutrients Percentage Comparison Discussion

The most accurate entries for amounts are for weighed foods in ounces, or pounds. Other measures are cups, teaspoons, tablespoons, each. Weights of foods should be for edible portion only.

You can download the LIVESTRONG mobile apps – MyPlate Calorie Tracker for iPhone, IPad, and Android (students in the past have had problems using Android, you may need to use a computer for the input of foods).

Read more:  https://www.livestrong.com/myplate/

You can download the app on your phone, you track on the app; however, you will need a computer with the website to finish the assignment.

Do not include vitamins OR supplements that you may take except if you use a protein powder.

This assignment will be used for other Assignments this semester. If this assignment is not turned in to the instructor, you will not be able to go to the next assignment until it is submitted.  Remember the dates you entered food for future assignments.  Please write down your username and password.  I do not have access to your accounts.
