Walden University Code of Ethics Discussion
Walden University Code of Ethics Discussion
Question Description
I’m working on a health & medical discussion question and need support to help me learn.
Discussion: Codes of Ethics
From education to religion, the use of ethical practice codes is widespread in civil society. Codes of ethics help clarify roles and responsibilities within a profession and serve as a standard of conduct for its members. In healthcare, like other professions, codes of ethics form the bedrock of professional practice.
In the Discussion, you will examine various codes of ethics and their role in healthcare. You will also select a specific code of ethics that best fits the ethical framework from which you live your life, and then explain why you chose it.
To prepare for this Discussion:
- Review the codes of ethics (i.e, Hippocratic Oath, American Association of Medical Assistance, and Principles of Medical Ethics: American Medical Association, National Commission for Health Education Credentialing) in Chapter 1 in the Judson and Harrison textbook.
- Select one of the codes that best reflects your personal ethical framework (philosophy). Walden University Code of Ethics Discussion
