Describe a contemporary issue, local or global, that a family may experience today. What steps would the nurse take to address these as part of a health education plan?

3 postsRe: Topic 5 DQ 1Health education is the most important part of health promotion. Most of America require education to make informed decisions, our school system has not put health at the fore front of education. You can use the nursing process when working with patients to see what they really need. The nurse can assess about the major problem most of the globe is facing which is over eating and obesity. Then diagnosis what the issue is with this family weather it is education or bad habits on overeating. Form a plan with the family to change the behavior whether that is diet, exercise, or more education. Then we will give the family time to implement the plan and start changing their diet to incorporate more healthy food choices and correct proportions, also daily exercising. Then after time we can sit together and have a meeting with each other and evaluate how well the plan has worked. We will talk about what has worked well for the family and what has been difficult. We now can set new goals, provide more education and tweak the plan for the family to improve areas of difficulty and implement the new plan starting over the process.References(2021, March 28). Week 3 Case Study: Hypoproteinemia

Week 3 Case Study: HypoproteinemiaRequired ResourcesRead/review the following resources for this activity:TextbookWeekly ConceptsMinimum of 1 scholarly sourceScenario/SummaryBetty was an active 24 year-old with a good job at the local University. She helped students navigate the complexities of the FAFSA application process to access monies for their educations. Betty loved her job and attended all of the graduation ceremonies as a final send-off of the students to their dream lives. In September, Betty started to feel tired and had a low-grade fever. She also experienced some nausea and stomach pain. Worried that she was developing a stomach virus, she stayed at home that weekend and tried to get as much rest as possible. She turned to soft foods to decrease the stomach distress. By Monday, she was feeling a little better and hoped she was on the mend. However, later in the week, her joints started hurting and her leg muscles were sore. She couldn’t think of anything she had done differently that would account for the muscle soreness and joint pains. She chalked that up to sleeping wrong.A few months later, the fatigue and weakness returned and she noticed that her hair was breaking easily and thinning, and that she was developing swelling in her legs and face. She also had dry skin and craved eggs and cottage cheese. Betty couldn’t get enough of these two foods. Fearing that something serious may be wrong, Betty scheduled an appointment with her physician. Her physician ran a battery of tests to determine that Betty was suffering from a hepatitis C virus and was experiencing hypoproteinemia. In particular, her albumin levels were low.Based on what you’ve learned about blood flow, the liver’s role in production of proteins, and pressure at the capillaries, address the following questions.DeliverablesAnswer the following questions and save your responses in a Microsoft Word document. Provide a scholarly resource to support your answers.Describe all the constituents contained in plasma and their concentrations.Explain the liver’s role in production of proteins. Why would albumin be important in regulating pressure at the capillaries?Explain the process of fluid movement at both the arterial and venous side of the capillary. What can Betty do to improve her situation?Submit your case study document.

NURS 5052/NURS 6052: ESSENTIALS OF EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE – Discussion 6 (Grading Rubic and Media Attached)

Discussion: Validity in Quantitative Research DesignsValidity in research refers to the extent researchers can be confident that the cause and effect they identify in their research are in fact causal relationships. If there is low validity in a study, it usually means that the research design is flawed and the results will be of little or no value. Four different aspects of validity should be considered when reviewing a research design: statistical conclusion validity, internal validity, construct validity, and external validity. In this Discussion, you consider the importance of each of these aspects in judging the validity of quantitative research. To prepare:Review the information in Chapter 10 of the course text on rigor and validity.Read the method section of one of the following quasi-experimental studies (also located in this week’s Learning Resources). Identify at least one potential concern that could be raised about the study’s internal validity.Metheny, N. A., Davis-Jackson, J., & Stewart, B. J. (2010). Effectiveness of an aspiration risk-reduction protocol. Nursing Research, 59(1), 18–25.Padula, C. A., Hughes, C., & Baumhover, L. (2009). Journal of Clinical Nursing, 18(10), 1,404–1,411.Consider strategies that could be used to strengthen the study’s internal validity and how this would impact the three other types of validity.Think about the consequences of an advanced practice nurse neglecting to consider the validity of a research study when reviewing the research for potential use in developing an evidence-based practice.Post the title of the study that you selected and your analysis of the potential concerns that could be raised about the study’s internal validity. Propose recommendations to strengthen the internal validity and assess the effect your changes could have with regard to the other three types of validity. Discuss the dangers of failing to consider the validity of a research study.Read a selection of your colleagues’ responses.Respond to at least two of your colleagues in one or more of the following ways:Ask a probing question, substantiated with additional background information, and evidence. Share an insight from having read your colleagues’ postings, synthesizing the information to provide new perspectives.Offer and support an alternative perspective using readings from the classroom or from your own review of the literature in the Walden Library.Validate an idea with your own experience and additional sources.Make a suggestion based on additional evidence drawn from readings or after synthesizing multiple postings.Expand on your colleagues’ postings by providing additional insights or contrasting perspectives based on readings and evidence. Please use the below link for template formatting:http://academicguides.waldenu.edu/writingcenter/templatesRequired ReadingsPolit, D. NURS 6053 Week 4 Assign

Assignment: Application: Planned Changein a Department or UnitHealth care organizations are continuously immersed in change from the emergence of new policies, to promote quality care and improve patient safety to keeping pace with the rapid growth in knowledge and best practices. Establishing a solid framework for planning and implementing change is a wise move, as it provides a foundation for the extensive coordination that will be needed to successfully facilitate the change. For this Assignment, you propose a change at the department or unit level and develop a plan for guiding the change effort. To prepare:Review Chapter 8 in the course text. Focus on Kurt Lewin’s change theory, and contrast it with other classic change models and strategies.Reflect on problems, inefficiencies, and critical issues within a specific department, unit, or area in your organization or one with which you are familiar. Select one issue as a focal point for this assignment, and consider a change that could be made to address the issue.Think about how the change would align with the organization’s mission, vision, and values as well as relevant professional standards.Using one of the change models or strategies discussed in Chapter 8, begin formulating a plan for implementing the change within the department/unit. Outline the steps that you and/or others should follow to facilitate the change effort. Align these steps to the change model or strategy you selected.Determine who should be involved in initiating and managing the change. Consider the skills and characteristics that are necessary to facilitate this change effort. To complete:By Day 7Write a 3- to 5-page paper (page count does not include title and reference page) that addresses the following:Identify a problem, inefficiency, or issue within a specific department/unit.Describe a specific, realistic change that could be made to address the issue.Summarize how the change would align with the organization’s mission, vision, and values as well as relevant professional standards.Identify a change model or strategy to guide your planning for implementing the change. Provide a rationale for your selection.Outline the steps that you and/or others would follow to facilitate the change. Align these steps to your selected change model or strategy.Explain who would be involved in initiating and managing this change. Describe the skills and characteristics that would be necessary to facilitate the change effort.Reminder: The School of Nursing requires that all papers submitted include a title page, introduction, summary, and references. .
