Early American history is notorious for two major conflicts – the American Revolution and the War of 1812. Compare the two conflicts. Each was fought for various reasons. Using research beyond our textbook, how did each one affect American history? Compare their effects on American history and strongly defend your answer with evidence.

All papers should be typed in 12 point font, double-spaced, with proper note and bibliographic citations using Turabian/Chicago 16th formats. Sources for this paper cannot simply be the textbook and lecture notes. Outside and additional sources are required and should not include any encyclopedia, list serve, or general content site (such as About.com or ask.com). You need to consult at least 5 sources for this paper. Outside and additional sources can be valuable and are encouraged. If your paper has no sources or only uses the textbook, you will only be able to achieve 1/2 of the available credit.
