All providers are required to have a unique National Provider Identification number that is used to identify the provider in numerical form. The NPI number is used for submitting claims and referrals.

To Complete Your Assignment

Please access and complete the NPI application at National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) to secure an NPI number. Some facts about NPI numbers include:

  • You will register as an individual.
  • You can register at any level as a nursing service provider, for example, as an RN.

  • You will need to use a home address at first and then change it after you have a practice address. Alternatively, you can use the Regis College address for the purpose of this assignment.
