Niagara Health System, Case Analysis Report:  include these four sections: problems/issues facing the organization, possible solutions, a recommended solution, and expected outcomes. The final three required sections (possible solutions, recommended solutions, and expected outcomes) should all be future-oriented. Do not repeat the facts provided by the case study or offer commentary on past events. Focus all of your writing and analysis attention on the communication aspects of this case. Pay particular attention on the importance of stakeholder segmentation and targeted messaging in solving virtually any communication problem. Finally, you should (need to) conduct research on solutions developed by other organizations in solving the problems that you have identified in the first section. Best practices from other organizations produce credible and authoritative recommendations and specific solutions for the problems you have identified that are remaining from the case study.

  • The Important Role of Stakeholders in Organizational Communication:Stakeholders are an essential group – multiple groups, actually. Stakeholders should be considered in your remaining writing assignments for this course. One authoritative source defines a stakeholder as an “individual or group that has an interest in any decision or activity of an organization.”  Internal stakeholders are people who are already committed to serving your organization as board members, staff, volunteers, and/or donors. External stakeholders who are engaged in contributing their views and experiences in addressing the issues that are important to them as patients, service users, and members of the local community. The major stakeholders in healthcare systems are patients, physicians, employers, insurance companies, pharmaceutical firms, and government. In many instances, it would be wise to consider the media as an external stakeholder. Healthcare Management Communication

Nursing homework help

Public health is meant to improve and advance the health of populations and communities occupied by these populations (Mason et al., 2016). Nurses play a huge role in public health as they can help promote health. The lack of investment in the public has made it difficult for nurses to help promote public health. The best way the government has established to help drive investments into public health is by accreditation (Mason et al., 2016). Accreditation can be done by nurses showing improvement in public health and meeting standards.

To do that, the obstacles or negative impacts that we currently face in public health and address them as healthcare professionals. For example, health care professionals can help create health education programs to assess the communities and advocate for change through policies. Creating health education programs can help provide information about broad but prevalent public health issues—for example, diabetes, obesity, mental health, infection prevention, and food safety. During my clinical as a nursing student in Camillus House, located in Miami, I conducted a health education class on brushing teeth properly. I educated the population on how many diseases can be prevented by doing so. Nursing homework help

It’s a common and effective way of helping improve public health. Before creating these health education programs, I believe the population and community they reside in should be further assessed. It’s essential to know the most significant health issues within a community to intervene. This will help professionals further plan for the community. However, policies must also be implemented to help provide change. Nurses hold great power over advocating through policies and raising awareness for public health issues.

Nurses can use public health policies to address multiple issues. Obesity can be addressed through health policies in the school setting for kids that prevent the consumption of fattening foods and increase the healthy food available (Mason et al., 2016). Policy intervention can also be used to provide equal pay, safe housing, and decrease discrimination within a community (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2020). Health care professionals can help voice these policies and practice these policies to help promote change. This can even be done through social media posts and engagements.

Policies have the most significant influence on economically and socially disadvantaged populations. Health care professionals can also help by doing further research on public health issues and using the data to advocate for change in a community or population. If they can do this with a group of health care professionals, it has been proven that the impact on the community is much more significant. As a nurse myself, I plan to help advocate for populations and communities now and once I become an NP. I believe as a nurse I can help through education programs and community assessments in Miami, Florida. Helping the community will help better health care and make the environment safe.

In order to help public health, improve all health care professionals must come together as a whole, research, and intervene in any way possible. We must all show communities how to practice healthy behaviors (Mason et al., 2016).

Health promotion and disease prevention has become a fundamental segment of healthcare in todays’ s health industry. Endorsing healthy lifestyles and behaviors and prevention of diseases has moved to a lead position in the field of healthcare. Furthermore, health promotion in communities is crucial to prevent disease or find it early, to remain healthy, active and independent as long as possible. As age brings a higher risk for chronic diseases, physicians and nurses’ role through health promotion and prevention is to improve the health, function, and quality of life in their community.  Community health physicians and nurses work in advocacy, policy development and planning. They advance principles of social justice specifically in order to improve health outcomes for all. Furthermore, nurses help the community by educating on prevention and treatment of diseases and illness; nurses also conduct health screenings and administer immunizations. According to the Commission for Public Health Reform it is about protecting and promoting the health of the populations as well as preventing disease, in a joint effort by the whole society to not only improve the level of health and well-being, but also to reduce inequalities, especially social ones in health, as these are the central objectives of Public Health (dos Santos, et al.,2020). The community and families as clients of Community Health Nursing are eligible for support from a variety of government resources. As Covid-19 pandemic hit the communities, many local government agencies are working to protect, support, and lead their communities through the developing covid-19 pandemic. Reproductive physicians, already trusted in the community with patients, play a crucial role in breaking vaccine myths and delivering evidence-based data so patients can get vaccinated and healthy enough to focus on their reproductive health. The clinics also are trying to inform on protective actions like hand-washing and social distancing.

Another community health issues from community health improvement are hypertension or blood pressure (BP) among adults. This condition has proved to be among the substantial health concerns in the community. Physicians and other health care workers can use their clinical sites to evaluate and monitor people within a community that are at risk for hypertension. Population health questionnaire surveys will enable one to know if the program is effective in covering a larger population of those who have hypertension in the community and provide medication and education on time concerning hypertension control.

Community intervention and health promoting is the key starting point for disease prevention. People get to understand the risks that are involved as well as actions that should be taken, and this would positively have an impact on their daily lives. Community-based intervention strategies work to improve health of individuals and community  (Hawe, 2015). In this way, the goals in a community-based intervention should be aimed to advocate a combined effort for the community members and appropriate social actions that have been designed to gain a system support, policy support, as well as social acceptance.

Implementation of community forums and workshops can help in educating on the actual issues within the community. The workshops and community forums should be specific. It should include the involvement and understanding of culture, understanding of health promotion, and discus key points for disease prevention. The main role of having these workshops is to come up with health solutions that are community-oriented such that after the implementation, this would not be just a case for theoretical approach but rather a certain level of ownership. The workshop would be geared towards strengthening community structures and systems to allow the community to put their inputs and own the process. Nursing homework help

Patient Preferences and Decision Making

Patient Preferences and Decision Making

Changes in culture and technology have resulted in patient populations that are often well informed and educated, even before consulting or considering a healthcare need delivered by a health professional. Fueled by this, health professionals are increasingly involving patients in treatment decisions. However, this often comes with challenges, as illnesses and treatments can become complex.
