SWOT for Management, Mentoring, and Nursing
SWOT analysis is a process that can provide evidence of what is effective and what is not in clinical systems, procedures, or interventions. SWOT can be quite useful not only in planning projects, but also evaluating them.
Definitions of SWOT
Strengths – Internal factors that are likely to have a positive effect or facilitate in achieving the project’s objectives
Weaknesses – Internal factors that are likely to have a negative effect or facilitate in achieving the project’s objectives
Opportunities – External Factors that are likely to have a positive effect on achieving or exceeding the project goals
Threats – External Factors and conditions that are likely to have a negative effect on achieving the objectives, or making the objective redundant or unachievable
